Production Description

Polypropylene (PP), a semi-crystalline thermoplastic, exhibits exceptional impact resistance, robust mechanical strength, and chemical stability against organic solvents/acid-base corrosion. Widely utilized in industrial applications and even Australian currency production. PP modification typically involves glass fibers (30% content reduces shrinkage to 0.7%), metal additives, or thermoplastic rubbers. MFR ranges 1-40 inversely correlate impact resistance with tensile strength, while copolymer variants outperform homopolymers at equal MFR. Crystalline structure causes 1.8-2.5% shrinkage rates, yet demonstrates superior directional uniformity versus HDPE.
